Do I need to move my videos from S3 to Gumlet?

Hey Gumlet,

I’m looking to optimize all my videos with Gumlet. Do I need to move all my videos from S3 to Gumlet? Would appreciate some assistance.

Hi William!

Well, it’s up to you and your needs. For example, if you have a large number of videos and want to automate your pipeline with API (like transcoding video and receiving streaming URLs and other database parameters), you’ll need to upload them to the storage providers such as Amazon S3, or Google Cloud.

Otherwise, you can use Gumlet Dashboard to upload videos from your local device, although this takes time.

Some other storage providers that we work with:

• Web Proxy
• Web Folder
• DigitalOcean Spaces
• Wasabi Storage
• Azure
• Cloudinary
• Linode Storage
• Backblaze Storage

Let me know if you have further queries.

Thanks 🙂

Welcome to Gumlet, @AjayNagotha . Pleasure to have you with us.

Gumlet’s API can automatically fetch videos from your S3 storage to Gumlet. Please refer to API Documentation to get started with APIs: Getting Started

Another way is to make use of Storage Webhooks. Please refer to: Storage Webhooks .

If you need help with this, our support team will be happy to help. Let me know.
