Is Gumlet really ready for the courses?

Hello, I signed up for Gumlet because I create courses, but I noticed a number of things that could cause problems for me. I wanted to understand if they can be resolved, otherwise I will need to look for another service.

  1. The ability to reorder videos and playlists, otherwise it becomes impossible to give the course a proper sequence.

  2. The ability to translate or rewrite the messages and menus into one’s own language. Right now everything is in English, and it’s impossible for my users who speak Italian to use it.

  3. The ability to further customize the channel, for example with a cover image (in addition to the logo) and a personalized landing page where users can access private channels.

  4. The ability to choose whether or not to expand a playlist. Ideally, playlists should appear as a single element on the channel, and only after clicking on them should the list of videos be displayed.

  5. The ability to have APIs to add or remove a member from a private channel without having to go through Zapier.

Let me help you out.

  1. The ability reorder video and playlists → The video reordering will be available in maximum two weeks. It’s ready on our end, and we are testing it. Once we launch, we will give playlist ordering options.
  2. By default, everything is in English. We will check if we can make it multi-lingual, but that’s not immediate. Right now, our video player is multi-lingual and supports over 10 different languages.
  3. The landing page is not available at this moment. You can add a feature request here https://feedback.gumlet.com/ and our team will check it out.
  4. Can you check the experience yourself? It’s almost similar but we show a handful of videos on the channel page where we categorize playlists.
  5. Yes, you can do that. You can add or remove members without Zapier.
