Unable to connect Gumlet to Claude: "Authentication failed" (ref ofid_9d9b9d2af313d254)

Subject: Unable to connect Gumlet to Claude: “Authentication failed” (ref ofid_9d9b9d2af313d254)

Hello Gumlet Support,

I am unable to connect my Gumlet account to Claude (Anthropic’s AI assistant) through its Gumlet connector. Every request fails with the error “Authentication failed”.

What I am seeing:

  • Error message: “Authentication failed”
  • Reference ID shown with the error: ofid_9d9b9d2af313d254
  • It happens on every call, including the simplest one (fetching my user/account details), so it looks like the connection itself is not being authorized rather than a problem with a specific request.

What I have already tried:

  1. Disconnected and reconnected the Gumlet connector in Claude’s Connectors settings, several times.
  2. Confirmed I can log in normally at dash.gumlet.com with the same account.
  3. Tried again after reconnecting; the same error returns.

My account details:

  • Workspace ID: 6acd27d209415d7349bd1269 (I also have a workspace with ID 6acd296ecebd948cdd300d63)
  • Registered email: [your Gumlet account email]
  • Plan: [your plan]

My questions:

  1. Does my account/plan have API access enabled, and does my user role have permission to use the API?
  2. Is there any problem on Gumlet’s side with the login/OAuth or API at the moment? Can you check the logs for the reference ID above?
  3. Is the connector at https://mcp.gumlet.com/mcp/v1 supported for my account, and is there any extra step I need to do (for example, generating or enabling an API key or token)?

I want to use the connector to view my video library and workspace data. Please let me know what I should fix or whether you need anything else from me.

Thank you,
Ashutosh

Hi Ashutosh

We know that this is not the experience you are looking for in Gumlet. But we are waiting for Claude team’s approval on fixing this issue at their end.

Meanwhile, you can use MCP without the plugin/connector marketplace. Here is the documentation to get started: MCP Server
